I want to keep my South Valley!

Yesterday I was given an assignment to cover polling on the South Valley resident voting on the issue of whether or not the southern section of Albuquerque would be incorporated but the biggest issue was that if it did happen, taxes would be raise in order to pay for the new services like its own police, and fire department and so on.  It was a challenging in the sense that it was not a visual story to begin with unlike lets say a presidential election or political event.  I went to different places and luckily enough I found Mr. Phil Askew seen here int he first photo voting and later sticking his tongue out at me with a giggling laugh afterwards.  Later I talked to some business owner who to my surprise did not even know about the issue and they would be the ones mostly affected.  The folks at the barbershop knew about it but did not know how to vote.  The Rio Grande store was a delight to walk into as I smell the fruit and stare at the pinatas.  In the end I found a peculiar sign with three misspellings and it was huge about the size of a car. I don’t know who wrote but eventually it went up on a wall at work where we post misspelled signs we photographers stumble upon like ‘Yared Sale’.
