The brother-sister team of 12-year-old Garrett Jacobs and 14-year-old Makayla, from Lemitar, New Mexico hang out with their horse Jody, after competing in the ribbon roping competition at Red Rock State Park in Gallup, New Mexico. They travel to roughly 50-60 rodeos a year.

Photojournalist Roberto Rosales (b. 1969) is a native of El Salvador. In 1980 he was forced to flee the violence during the country’s civil war. He moved to the USA where he attended school and began a new life. After graduating from the University of New Mexico, he returned to El Salvador where he taught his first workshops to local newspaper photography staffs. He returned to the states in 1998 and a landed a job as a staff photographer for the Albuquerque Journal. Currently, in addition to working on daily assignments for the Journal, he is pursuing a project in El Salvador documenting the daily lives of local fishermen around the Gulf of Fonseca.
