The Thrill of the Chase

Tabu, is a Jack Russell terrier that competed over the weekend in the lure coursing competition at a Los Ranchos park. The contest was used to test dogs speed and agility. Basically the lure was a plastic bag. Good times where had by all. These little suckers are fast, at first I had a hard time following them with my lens but here is Tabu taking off after the lure.

Photojournalist Roberto Rosales (b. 1969) is a native of El Salvador. In 1980 he was forced to flee the violence during the country’s civil war. He moved to the USA where he attended school and began a new life. After graduating from the University of New Mexico, he returned to El Salvador where he taught his first workshops to local newspaper photography staffs. He returned to the states in 1998 and a landed a job as a staff photographer for the Albuquerque Journal. Currently, in addition to working on daily assignments for the Journal, he is pursuing a project in El Salvador documenting the daily lives of local fishermen around the Gulf of Fonseca.
